How to Start an SMM Reseller Business in India (Low Investment)
By the LikeAdda team · 25 September 2026 · 2 min read
Reselling social media services is one of the lowest-investment online businesses you can start in India. You can begin with a few hundred rupees and a WhatsApp number. Here's how people actually do it.
The basic model
You buy services at wholesale from a panel like LikeAdda and sell them to clients — local businesses, creators, other agencies — at a markup. Your value is convenience, trust and advice: the client doesn't want to figure out which of 2,000 services to buy.
Finding your first clients
- Local businesses you already know: gyms, salons, coaching centres, cafés, boutiques.
- Creators in your college or city who want to look bigger before pitching brands.
- Event organisers and DJs promoting shows.
- Other freelancers — designers and video editors whose clients also want growth.
Package things simply: "Instagram starter — 1,000 followers + likes on 10 posts". Clients buy packages, not per-1,000 rates.
Pricing and margins
Work out your cost on our price list, then add a margin that covers your time and refills. Many resellers aim for 2–3× their cost on small packages and less on large ones.
Use the API when you grow
Once you have more than a handful of clients, manual ordering gets tedious. Our API uses the standard v2 format, so you can connect a panel script or a simple spreadsheet tool.
Mistakes to avoid
- Promising "real active followers". Promise what the service actually delivers.
- Selling no-refill services to clients who'll complain about drops. Use refill-backed listings for client work.
- Ignoring support. Clients stay with resellers who reply quickly.
Getting started
Create an account, add ₹100–₹500, and run a few test orders on your own accounts so you know exactly what you're selling. More on our reseller panel page.
